Botox/Fillers

botox, fillers

Aging, frequent exposure to the sun, and simply being expressive can, over time, begin to make an impression on our faces. Our bone structure and skin elasticity are changing as well.

At Lewisville Laser & Aesthetics, our physician-driven team can help you take advantage of the latest technology in neuromodulators (that’s the technical term for products such as Botox and Dysport) and fillers (such as Juvederm and Restylane) to help smooth lines and wrinkles.

Dr. Summer and our PA-C Kristen Murphy are certified Master Injectors with Allergan and Galderma, and can help you achieve the natural, subtle results you’re looking for. Tell me more about:

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions…

How do products like Botox Cosmetic and Dysport work?

Botox and Dysport are nonsurgical, physician-administered treatments that can temporarily reduce moderate to severe lines in people 18 to 65 years of age.

Those moderate to severe lines that form over time as the result of muscle activity. Both Botox Cosmetic and Dysport are injected directly into the muscles. They works by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses to the injected muscles; this reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those persistent lines to form.

When will I see results from my treatment?

Within 3-14 days, you may see a marked improvement in the moderate to severe lines. Lines continue to improve for up to a month, and results can last for up to 4 months. Results may vary.

Is treatment with Botox Cosmetic or Dysport painful?

Discomfort is usually minimal and brief. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes. Many people are in and out of the physician’s office without downtime following treatment.

Will my facial expressions continue to look natural?

Although the results are visible, a treatment with Botox Cosmetic or Dysport will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you “had work done.”

Is treatment with Botox Cosmetic or Dysport affordable?

When considering your facial aesthetic options, treatment using neuromodulators such as Botox or Dysport is quite affordable. According to an American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery survey, Botox Cosmetic is one of the low-entry-cost facial aesthetic procedures in the United States. The cost must be weighed relative to your expectations. Consult your doctor for further information.

Sometimes, no matter how young you feel, your face tells a different story. As we age, our skin changes. Over time, the natural volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds form. Sun exposure, pollution, natural aging and lifestyle factors can all diminish the collagen layer that supports the skin. And where collagen diminishes, unwelcome lines and wrinkles may appear. The smooth consistency of the various wrinkle filler gels help to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds―the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). Juvederm Voluma or Restylane Lyft instantly adds volume to the cheek area, temporarily reversing the signs of aging with natural-looking results. The results can help restore contour for up to 1-2 years with optimal treatment.

Sculptra

Sculptra Aesthetic is an injection that stimulates collagen and growth naturally and gradually for a more youthful appearance with lasting results. With Sculptra you can expect to see a subtle, steady improvement in lines and wrinkles. Sculptra can improve hollowness in the temples as well as volume loss in the cheeks. While you may notice immediate fullness after initial treatment this is a gradual treatment series depending on the amount of volume loss.
